Brian Uchima Named First Kupono Award Winner at First Insurance Company of Hawaii

Brian Uchima of Honolulu has been named the first recipient of First Insurance Company of Hawaii’s (FICOH) Kupono Award. The quarterly award was created to recognize associates who demonstrate excellence in customer service as well as a commitment to FICOH’s core values of respect, integrity, community and excellence. Brian is a manager in the Risk and Safety Management department.

In his nomination, Uchima was praised for his ability to communicate difficult concepts and technical information in easy-to-understand language and find practical solutions for his customers.

In presenting the award to Uchima, Jeff Shonka, First Insurance CEO, said, “The relationships Brian has built over the years have directly contributed to FICOH writing new business and renewing key accounts.”
