First Insurance Company of Hawaii (FICOH) has announced the promotion of Kim Ebanez to assistant vice president, effective Jan. 1, 2018.

During Ebanez’s 41-year career at FICOH, she has held positions in various departments including underwriting, premium audit and loss control, before becoming Underwriting Support manager in 2008. In 2016, she was one of only 13 employees worldwide recognized as a Good Company Award recipient by Tokio Marine, FICOH’s parent company.

In welcoming her to the officer team, Jeff Shonka, FICOH CEO said, “Kim has consistently held herself to a high customer service standard and challenged the units she’s worked with. She embodies FICOH’s sales culture core strategy by reliably getting the job done while making the protection of FICOH’s excellent reputation her core concern.”
